This class is designed to introduce students to the Econolite Cobalt traffic controller. A two-day course, it will cover Cobalt ATC hardware, EOS software and basic screens used for setup and troubleshooting. Controller data base management, web interface and the virtual controller will also be reviewed. Students are encouraged to bring their laptop computers. Prerequisite: Introductory Controller.

This one-day seminar will cover the features of the TACTICS software. Set up and installation of the software onto computers will be followed by demonstration of the capabilities and functions of the software. This one-day course will familiarize the student with both the MARC on-street master controller and TACTICS software that is used to interface with the local controller units and MARC masters. This one-day course will familiarize students with 900MHz license-free spread spectrum radio technology as utilized for traffic control interconnect. Students will learn about associated hardware, system design as well as interfacing capabilities with controllers through RS232 and FSK. Additionally, remove contact closure applications will be analyzed. This is a combination lecture and hands-on workshop. Students are encouraged to bring their laptop computers.
