This seminar will introduce the student to the various components that are required for a complete wireless traffic detection system. The training will include the functions and operation of the vehicle sensors, access point and repeater modules. Emphases will be on how to program the wireless detection system to optimize traffic detection. It is recommended that students bring their laptops to class. This is a lecture and hands-on workshop.

This class introduces students to the Econolite Cobalt traffic controller. It will cover Cobalt ATC hardware, EOS software and basic screens used for setup and troubleshooting. This two-day course covers the basic design and application of Iteris detection products. Included will be sensor installation and setup, utilization of the processor, menu overview, and creation of detection zones. Standard video detection, radar detection and the combination of video/radar will be covered. Emphasis for day 1 will be stop bar detection, for day 2 advance detection.  This is a combination lecture and hands-on workshop.
